Pro Comp ES3000 Shocks

Pro Comp was founded in 1992 and their entire focus was on suspension systems that would be able to conquer even the toughest of terrains.  From there, they eventually branched out and began making other products that related to those suspension systems.  Now, they make shocks, tires and yes, wheels.  That said, Pro Comp never lost their focus with the suspensions and they are constantly coming up with new innovative suspension systems.

When Pro Comp decided to make their first foray into the market for wheels, the year was 2001.  Just 3 years before that, they began making tires so wheels were just the next natural step.  This move was a good one because both the tire and the wheel line could support each other.  From the beginning, Pro Comp made the decision to not just make aluminum alloy wheels but also to make steel wheels.  This decision was made so that Pro Comp customers could have the choice to buy tough wheels that would take them over any terrain they want while keeping the cost manageable.

ES3000

No matter what type of wheels you have, you will need shocks that can handle the terrain too or you will be bounced to pieces.  Up until Pro Comp started making shocks, hitting the trails could be accomplished in only two ways – the cheap and backbreaking way or the expensive and comfortable way.  Quality shocks were amazingly expensive.  However, Pro Comp changed all of that with the ES3000 line of shocks and struts that they make.

These shocks have been made with a design that is twin tubed and gas filled.  They have the ability to keep their cool even when they are undergoing extreme abuse.  The piston rod is chrome hardened and measures 5/8 of an inch in diameter.  The shock mounts are double welded and the combination means that you get maximum strength.  The rebound stops are made from Teflon and give you a street ride that is incomparable.

The valving on these shocks is 10 stage and sensitive to velocity.  What this means is that they adjust themselves to the conditions of the terrain.  This substantially improves both on and off road performance and comfort.  In addition, since they are year, make and model specific, there are no modifications necessary to install them.  As if all of that were not enough, they also come with a lifetime warranty.
