Monster sized tires and off road rigs go together like peanut butter and jelly.  The problem with this is that those massive tires can cause nit just bump steer but also a wealth of other issues.  You can take your steering by the horns though when you equip your rig with one of the steering stabilizers that are made by Pro Comp.

The steering stabilizers hat are brought to you by the minds at Pro Comp are available as dual shocks kits or as single shock kits and the one that you need will depend on your specific rig.  These steering stabilizers will reduce your bump stop as well as vibrations and the arm fatigue that these things result in by simply smoothing the handling of your rig.

These steering stabilizers are vehicle specific and they come to you complete with all of the mounting brackets and custom hardware that is necessary for a safe and proper installation.  The steering stabilizer is easy to install right where your factory installed original was.  The dampening that these stabilizers give you is powered by the ES2000 Shocks that are a legendary part of the Pro Comp line of suspension related components.

These Pro Comp systems for steering stabilizers have been specifically designed to improve the characteristics associated with the handling of your rig.  They reduce the vibration of the wheels.  These negative issues can cause there to be fatigue and even failure in the components of your suspension system.

Pro Comp Suspension ES3000 Series Shock Absorber

When Pro Comp got their start in 1992, they focused on making suspension systems that would have the ability to conquer the harshest of terrains.  Eventually, they started branching out and they started making products that were related to the suspension systems that they were already famous for.  As of this writing, they makes wheels, tires and shocks.  Taking all of that into account, they have still never lost sight of the suspension systems and are constantly bringing new innovations to the field.

Pro Comp made their first venture into the wheel market in 2001 and just three years prior to that they began making tires.  That meant that wheels was the next logical step for them.  This was a good choice for them to make because the line of tires and the line of wheels could support one another.  From their beginning, Pro Comp had decided not to stick with just aluminum wheels but to also have wheels made from steel.  This was also a good decision because it allowed for their customers to have the option to buy wheels that are tough enough to handle any sort of terrain while they are also cost efficient.

ES3000

All of that aside, regardless of what kind of wheels you have, you will always need shocks that will be tough enough to be able to tackle the terrain without you being bounced to pieces.  Until Pro Comp began making their own shocks, you had two choices when it came to tackling the trails.  You could do it the less expensive and more back breaking way or you could spend a fortune to do it in comfort.  Shocks that were high quality were incredibly expensive, but this all changed with the introduction of the ES3000 shocks by Pro Comp.

These shocks have a twin tube, gas filled design.  They are able to remain cool even when under extreme abuse.  They include a piston rod that has been chrome hardened and the shock mounts themselves have been double welded so that you get the ultimate on strength.  There are also rebound stops made from Teflon.

These shocks have a 10 stage valving that is velocity sensitive which basically means that they are able to self-adjust depending on the terrain you are on.  This improves your performance and your comfort both on the highway and on the trails.  Additionally, they are vehicle specific which means that the installation process is easy and modification free.  In addition to all of this, they come with a great warranty.

Pro Comp Suspension Bump Stops

Sometimes there are no words to describe what you are thinking and feeling – words are not enough.  Just as in that situation, there are times when your shocks absorbers are not enough to be able to keep your rig from bottoming out.  In cases like this you need another line of defense.  This other line of defense can be found with the suspension bump stops that are made by Pro Comp Suspension.

These bump stops are not just stronger than polyurethane bump stops, they are also more reliable.  The suspension bump stops that are made by Pro Comp Suspension work as a failsafe shock during those times when your shocks have been fully compressed.  They have a full 4 inches of travel and they will give you the heavy duty cushioning that you need right when you need it.  Additionally, they will not alter the quality of your ride like switching to shocks that are stiffer would.

Pro Comp made these bump stops to be tougher than the normal traditional shocks.  They are made from a 2 inch tube that has been burnished and skived.  This tube has then been filled with a mixture of nitrogen gas that has been pressurized to 200 psi and premium oil.  Then they added a chrome plated rod that measure an inch and a quarter in diameter and a piston head that has been made from billet aluminum.  That said, you can count on these bump stops to have the ability to soften the jarring from bottoming out.  The suspension bump stops that are made by Pro Comp Suspension also come with a mounting bracket that is universal and must be welded on as well as a warranty that is good for a lifetime.

Pro Comp Suspension 4 Inch Travel Bump Stop

What are bump stops anyway?  They are a part that has been designed in such a way that they will improve the quality of your ride while they also work to protect the suspension of your rig.  Lift kits and lowering ones too are really fun until someone or even something get hurt.  If you have ever had the experience of bottoming out then you will be fully aware of the damage that can occur to both your back and your rig.  However, the blow can be softened with the addition of a high quality set of bump stops.

When you want to get the best protection that it is possible to get then you will want to choose the 4 inch travel bump stop that is made by Pro Comp Suspension.  Pro Comp Suspension has pushed the envelope and set the standard when it comes to the quality of your ride and the protection of your suspension.

The 4 inch travel bump stop that is made by Pro Comp Suspension is universal.  It gives your suspension compression control when it bottoms out while not sacrificing the quality of your ride.  This 4 inch travel bump stop features a chrome plated rod that has been induction hardened that features a billet piston that has also been hardened.  The piston and the rod have been combined with a burnished and skived seamless tube that has an outer diameter of 2 inches.  The body of this bump stop has been given a protective finish of zinc plating.  This air bump stop is in the emulsion style which combines hydraulic oil and nitrogen gas.  The bump stop has been filled with race quality oil that is high grade in order to be resistant to thermal break down and foaming.  The nitrogen has been pressurized to a psi of 200.  The bump cap and the end cap are both made from anodized aluminum and have been CNC machined.  These caps have had the Pro Comp Suspension loge etched onto them by lasers.  Also included with the 4 inch travel bump stops is a mount that is to be welded on to allow for the bump stops to be custom mounted no matter what type of rig you have.
